If I leave them in the ground it takes all Summer to get blooms...So I dig them or take cuttings...I have a Cherub that has been in the same spot (in the ground) for I think 5~6 yrs and I just dug it up to make space for something else.. It was Huge and putting out new growth..

Yeah I was amazed when I just learned recently that if brugs stay in the ground and die back each year, their lifespan is not that long.

I believe that under perfect conditions they live a very long time right? I think I read about a 15 year old brug at one time. But I will always take cuttings just so I have it live on in case the mom dies. Another think I learned to late and now I am hoping that some of mine that died back, will make it back to a healthy plant.

I still have my first brugs from the earlier 1990s.
I will venture they can live a long time.

yes it a single and the fragrance is extremely strong!!

My wife has one that gets moved in every winter and shes had it for 17 yrs and it was in the family she got it from for over 30 before she had it so with proper care they can grow forever. It's about 8ft tall at this point
