Hi, I am always reading the forums and if there is anything I can add or any questions I have I will post. I find alot of the posts very informative. I notice you don't have a trade list....I always check those for opportunities to trade!

glad to hear from some folks.. Mcpeg you mention a trade list.. what is that about?? seed exchange or something..

If you click on a member name or My Page (both above a post, in blue), it takes you to that member's page. From there you can check out their trade list for seeds and plants.

To edit your own list, or search through other memeber's trade lists, click the link at the bottom of the page in the green bar labeled 'Member Pages'.

I'm new here too and am looking forward to some veggie seed-exchages.

well Jimmyjojo to date i grow perenials and roses. I'd like to grow veggies as well, but i just don't have room.I have a few annuals i over winter.whats interest you in the garden world...

thorn_grower, you can grow several vegetables in containers if you're interested - dwarf cherry tomatoes in small pots(e.g. tumbler, tiny tim, micro tom) or regular sized tomatoes if you have a really large container or an earthbox type container, cucumbers (e.g. pot luck), lettuce (e.g. tom thumb) and a lot more if you're interested. Just a single indeterminate cherry tomato plant can give you enough for salads once or twice a week (though they probably won't make it in from the garden...they're yummy eaten while still warm from the sun!). I would definitely recommend you try at least one cherry in a large pot.
