DirectRoot AirBase pot inserts - anyone use these?

While at my local nursery, I saw these pot inserts called AirBase (made by DirectRoot - www.directroot.com ). I figure it can't hurt, so I am trying them on some succulents I am transplanting. They come in different sizes and seem to be a good alternative to rocks, gravel, or clay shards on the bottom of my pots. Any comments - good? bad? waste of money?
