You are talented! I saw a magazine article about making chicken topiary. I saved it because I always wanted to make some but I lost the clipping. They were the cutest things and I thought a few of those around the yard would be so sweet.

How is your teapot doing?

Teapot is fine, also gave it its first trim of the season. The next day I was working in another part of the garden and looked towards only to see that the "lid" of the teapot looked like it was on crooked! Uh-oh. Too much or too little snip-snip on one side. I'll try to fix it another day.

Chickens are easy to do. In fact that's what the teapot started out as, other than a round ball. One day I saw a teapot more than I saw a chicken so I decided to work towards that. A girlfriend visited some time later, and I asked her "What does this look like?" She thought for an awkward minute and said "A chicken!" Ugh. Only because she knew that was what I had originally tried for.

My niece's little daughter saw it last year and said, "Look Mom, Mrs. Pots!" (from a Walt Disney movie).

awwww,... it's adorable and definitely Mrs. Potts!
