Jeffrey Pine hit by lightning

Hello conifer folks,

last year one of our big (+100') Jeffrey Pines (Pinus jeffreyii) got hit by lightning here on the east side of the Sierra Nevada. It looked ok afterward except for weeping sap and bare places along the trunk. Bark flew off the tree when it was hit. Now after a very dry winter, it is looking kind of brownish and lacking in new growth. I'm wondering if it would help or hurt if I drag a sprinkler to it and give it a good soaking? If so, is it best to move the sprinkler around the tree or what? Any ideas or experiences on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
