Check out my newest 'Furbaby'

Her name is Lilly and she has recently joined our family after "Code Enforcement" brought her to my job because "Animal Control's" vets had gone home for the day. She had a nasty wound on her neck and while cleaning it she managed to get her teeth on my thumb and broke the skin. Mind you she was very scared and in pain when she bit me. While in quarantine for the required 10 days for rabies I found her to be a very sweet and loving puppy. I inquired as to what would happen to her when her quarantine was up, I was told she would probably be "put down" due to her being a "biter". Well, I couldn't let that happen, so I got permission to bring her home. She has fitted in here and continued to do very well after worming and some good food and vitamins. Her wounds are healing and I look forward to having her as my "garden buddy" for years to come!

Nova, she's beautiful. Peati wants to know if Lilly can come down for a play date! LOL I want puppy breath kisses! I'm so glad you had extra room in your heart for her. Sweet little thing.

She looks too cute, good luck with your new friend. She will probably be the best dog ever, somehow they know you saved them.

Even an aggressive adult dogs behavior is based in fear.....
And wanting to be the pack leader.
I would never have the heart to put down a baby !

Thanks for all the wonderful comments about Lilly. I just knew I couldn't let her go. She is actually fairly timid here at the house, running for her crate at the smallest provocation. Even my three legged cat is a big scary thing to her.

I guess I can understand Animal Control's point of view, though. She does need continued care until her wound heals and does have some nerve damage to the right side of her head, thats why she has one droopy ear. They are over run with "healthy" puppies that need homes. Shy, timid puppies with wounds don't have much of a chance for adoption. My boss says that she is smart, in biting me she knew I wouldn't have the heart to turn her over to a certain death at the end of ten days.

I said the same thing as Kristi and Kate "WHAT A FACE"!! She looks so sweet even shy! I am so glad you are giving her a good home, Nova, and someone for her to love. I hope she is healing and adjusting and you are enjoying her very much! How old is she? She can probably be trained very easily once she has your trust. Congrats!
