Surprised no Larix are native to Sweden.

The large genetic variability of NS is something our own Spruceman often has mentioned.

Larches are less good at seed dispersal than spruces; after Sweden's icecap melted at the end of the last ice age, larch hasn't been able to recolonise from either the south (European Larch) or the east (Siberian Larch). No doubt larches would have got back there naturally within the next few millenia if it hadn't been for human interference first.
