I've been thinking of digging up all my lilies from the different gardens and putting them all in one garden.Does anyone think that will work??

I have asiatic,alstromerias,spider lilies,tiger lilies and so on.

It is lovely. My lilies have been over and done for 2-3 weeks. Are the Asiatics later bloomers than the Oriental? or did you just put it in this year, and its out of sync with the seasons?

I am in the same zone 4 WI as you - in fact looking at your other pics - showing the house style, and the pines and lilacs, you could live right down the road.

We are VERY close, mandolls. I live on the Minnesota/Wisconsin border, just across the river from Minneapolis/St. Paul, zone 4A.

I planted the lilies last fall and they did very well this year. I took the photos about a week ago, just before they went down for the season, but hadn't gotten them posted. They bloomed about the same time as my pink "Mona Lisa" lilies. The daylilies are still going strong.

Lilies were among the first things I planted when I moved here, and even though they are competing with Maple tree roots, they have done well for the past 5 years, and I keep adding more.

Lilies in June and Dahlias in July/August I keep vases full of them in the house.
