Ssshhh... if you cheer too loudly you will jinx us and we'll get another two months of dry weather! But yeah, I'm enjoying kicking back and resting as good ol' Mother Nature takes over the watering duties for now. I even took advantage of the cloudy, rainy day to put some plants in ground and let the rains 'ease' them into their new spots.

I too took advantage of this...I put down some fertilizer on all my Fruit trees and let Mother Nature water them in...

Your newly 'planted' plants will love this rain...perfect timing!

I planted a McMillan pecan tree, a Valencia orange tree, seven azalea bushes, three glorybowers (thanks, Bridget), I transplanted an azalea over the past two weeks and I've also been trying to get corn growing (see other thread on that). So happy to see this drenching rain.

I got my 3 banana plants and 3 blueberry plants on a drip system yesterday, so it could rain all day today.

I got almost 2" of rain yesterday...more than the last four or five months combined,lol... So nice to see...Rain barrel is full and all the plants are happy :o)

Nice way to start the month of May...a little over an inch yesterday!! Love it...I hope many of you enjoyed the rain as well.

My young pecan trees are loving it!

My passionvines are loving it. They get to grow with all that rain water and the frequent rains keep me from going out there to keep it trained to the trellis. I swear I can hear the vines yelling, "We're freeeeeee!" from my bedroom window (which is pretty close to the where the vines are growing). I haven't really been out to check on too many of the plants, though I don't think any of them are really complaining.

I've got corn that was planted 4 weeks ago and the plants are loving the rain!! I swear it has grown several inches every day this week.
