I've only grown Flamingo, not White Hull Pink Tip. The mature pod looks like it could be flamingo but seems a bit short. The seed you show does not look like flamingo seed from a mature dry pod. Flamingo seed is beige with dark brown steaks. Also, as the pod develops, it is streaked with pink, the pink doesn't progress from one end to the other. Flamingo pods take a long time to dry down as I recall. So....I'm inclined to say it is not Flamingo unless your seed is still immature and I don't understand your pod color development sequence correctly. I have no idea what the WHPT pods or seed would look like.

Dick, I only planted 3 or 4 seeds, didn't have many so I was leaving all for seed. I'll go out and have a look, maybe I can find one or two to try but think most will be past it. The last picture was taken a couple of weeks ago.
I still would like someone to confirm that these are White Hull Pink Tips.

I googled WHPT's and found a picture that looks like mine so I think I've got it straightened out now. I was beginning to wonder as they are such a vibrant color. On the other hand the Flamingo's I have planted are just starting to produce beans now, don't know if they'll have enough time to make seed, it will depend on the weather.

My Flamingos were all started in peat pots but they have just a few small snaps so far. Not looking good for saving seed from what others have said.

Dick I did find a couple of WHPT's to try as full beans, strung and thrown in the steamer with some carrots and steamed for roughly 15 minutes they were quite tasty. Now I want to try them as a shelly :).
