Gerry - I need help, none of my indoor cuttings are rooting....they are almost all dead :-( I wonder what I'm doing wrong?? (sorry don't have any moss roses.....yet)

Are you not getting E-mail from me? I am never sure what is going on when sending thru GW anymore, some I get some I don't.

I lose quite a few indoors also, the stems turn black from the bottom up. I am not sure if they are to moist or to cool. I wring out the coir as tight as I can in my hands, so there is not much more I can do about that. I find that I can get them to callus fairly easily in barely moist coir, and one rambler even rooted that way. (un)fortunatly we got a new furnace this fall, and the cellar where I have the growing lights is about 10 degrees cooler than it had been previously, I guess that means the furnace IS more efficiant:-)

The only other thing I can think of is that perhaps they need to be steralized in a mild bleach solution, which I have not tried.

I have 38 of the ones I e-mailed you about, if you got that e-mail, trying to root.

Do you know what you are going to do with OLoG when you shovel prune her?
