Can you tell me what these are? UBOs

I know the picture is not very good. But I found these things around a hosta that I recently planted. They are a translucent cream/yellow sphere. It looks like each one has a spot where maybe they were attached to something else. They were soft when I found them but have hardened since then. They were in a flower bed with other plants but I've never seen anything like this before.

Hi,
How small are they? Translucent balls near a newly planted perennial makes me think of fertilizer that is often in the potting soil of nursery plants. Another thought is eggs of a worm or bug.
What does UBO stand for?

I am so embarrassed! I believe they are fertilizer. I was planting somethings today using MG soil and I found the same things in there. What a garden dummy I am! UBO stood for unidentified ball objects. Didn't know what else to call them and for all I knew they could have been alien eggs! LOL!
