Help with Mango Tree!

Hi,

I also bought this Glen mango tree from Pinetree Nursery about 3 weeks ago, but went on vacation for one week and didn't have no one to water it.

I was looking to plant the mango tree in my backyard this weekend, but the tree has lost all of its leaves and I'm not sure if it's dead. Here's a picture of what it looks like now.

Any advice is appreciated.

Nick the bark with your fingernail looking for a nice, bright green. Keep working your way down until you find it. If you do, keep it in the pot and in the shade. I would even cover it in plastic to boost the humidity and help ward off further stress. If no green or it looks a dull green, I would make another trip to PIN. Most of the country is experiencing record temps. None of these types of plants are going to handle this being in a container with no water. Sorry.

I think you'll be okay. It's a little difficult to see the trunk as your shadow appears to be covering it up a bit, however it seems to be green(ish), which is a good indication it will come back. Can you take a clearer picture of the middle and top of the trunk?
