I can't seem to make out the lettering on the bottom of this mug or find any info on it. Please help!

I think it's a foreign language. Could be Delft from Holland. It's beautiful with the real gold around it! It's beautifully crafted!! I love it. Cobalt blue is always a treasure!

It's a hand-painted mug made in Russia and signed by an artist. The text says: Artist Pai T. St. Petersburg. The mug was made after 1991 when Leningrad was renamed St. Petersburg.

I think it is a beer stein, a very nice one.

Not a beer stein, just a souvenir mug which are common in Russia. The Dutch-styled ship/sailor theme is very much a cliche in St. Petersburg. I've seen tons of Delft-blue wares decorated with marine scenes there.
