Mine was the 4882. Had bad temperature problems, but after being told I didn't know how to cook and two service visits, it seems that the oven is working well. The replaced all of the electronic guts of the oven.

I bought the 4882 floor model. I informed the dealer that there were software updates needing to be made on it. (thanks GW). He contacted Miele and they were going to go to the store and do it there.

I had both a 4881 and 4882 with the problem. I know that there was talk of a software update on here, but I don't recall ever hearing that one was actually done. I know that I never got it. BTW, Miele's response to me was similar to daveliv's.

I should add that they did not replace anything on the second oven. I basically gave up.
