You could get Grand Dads biscuits, put in round cake pan, brush with butter and sprinkle with grated parmesan...bake according to directions or two boxes of Jiffy corn muffins, mix batter according to directions and add a small can of creamed corn. Entertaining does not have to be labor intensive...people just enjoy getting together.

That sounds good, but you could also just buy some crusty rolls. If you put some chicken in the salad, either from chicken breasts you broil or grill or from a rotisserie chicken from the store, you've got a complete meal. If your group expects dessert, you could make or buy some simple cookies and serve with ice cream. A bowl of candy bars gets a surprisingly enthusiastic reception, too!

Your turkey would work great in the salad.You could always get some croissants to make sandwiches with.Brownies or apple pie or crisp would be a nice ,easy dessert.

Relax and have a great time with your friends, and they will relax and have fun, too. They aren't coming over to judge you, just to knit, eat, and enjoy your time together. And you will!

Of course you can do it!!!! Do as much as you can the day or night before and enjoy your friends.

But, for the sake of your lactose intolerant friend, avoid dishes with cheese or other dairy products, and desserts with icecream etc.
