What is a good size for chandeliers above an island?

I am in the process of selecting two chandeliers for above my island, which is 10 X 5. The island height is 36 inches. The wires (rough electrical) for these chandeliers are about 38-40 inches apart. I am not sure what size chandelier would be best, both in terms of height and width. Any ideas?

Regarding chandelier sizing question, I neglected to mention that the ceiling height is 8 feet.

I would stick with something small like this chandellette.
