Sounds like a Jack Russell Terrier, they bounce a lot too. An old neighbor had one (JRT) and he said if he didn't exercise it daily it was destructive. Wikipedia has a good article and pictures of the breed. It looks like a nice breed, def. different than a lab though!

If your son loves the dog and takes care of it, I'd say it's worth the fuss, to him at least.

When you say 'invested', was the dog quite expensive?

I've never owned one but have known people that do. They make great pets and aren't destructive like a JRT indoors.

She is cute..her ears stand straight up and she is a nutmeg brown with white paws, sort of looks like a doberman in coloring.
Very small eyes, very alert, attentive...mischievous like crazy. She steals things and hides them !

Oh my $800 is a lot of dough for a dog! I agree, it is an investment.
