Small, dated kitchen in a 70's era home needs more cabinets, but can't match!

OK, here goes. My husband and I got talked into getting our old, white kitchen cabinets refaced by Sears. I admit, part of the reason I agreed was that half of them were falling apart. However, I was worried that we could never match them if we wanted to add more cabinets on the other side of the kitchen.

Well, here we are, still paying them off years later. I could just kick myself! What can I add to the other side of the kitchen? I'm thinking of something off white/antiqued,! but am scared to death it will look awful.

Will be able to tell when you have a chance to attach some pix, but it's possible to mix styles and color of cabinetry.

On the wall opposite your white Sears cabinets, I'd consider either stained cabinets or cabinets painted a totally different color, such as you'll see in the photos below. You can find more pixtures if you'll go to the Photo section shown above and enter "mixed colors kitchen cabinets".

I forgot to mention that the old white cabinets were refaced with a medium maple. Now, across the kitchen, there is an l-shaped wall where we want to add cabinets. My walls are a soft yellow--like butter, I have hung some beautiful blue, red, and yellow Italian pottery, and I changed the knobs and pulls on the refaced cabinets to these beautiful, antique-style black and copper floral ones. I'm thinking about antiqued/distressed off/white for the other cabinets, if we can find ones that we can install ourselves. I am attaching some photos.
