If the cart sits so the top is level there's no reason not to use it. You'll have to be creative hiding cables and cords if they bother you like they bother me.

Just be sure your set isn't too heavy. Should not be an issue if you have a newer flat screen.

We used a tea cart for our stero turntable way back when turntables were used.

If you are taking votes, I have to say no. A modern flat screen on this tea cart would look a bit odd.

I understand your logic, but perhaps it might be better to consider something that coordinates with your white trim instead of matching this to the furniture. Unless the flatscreen is quite small, it's going to hang over the edge of the teacart.

I love to see things used as something they were not intended for. I have a very small flat screen tv in the master bedroom and it is on an antique sewing machine cabinet.

With that being said I don't know that I would like the look of the tv on a tea cart. As Beverly mentioned the scale may be wrong unless the tv is quite small. I think the tea cart is lovely but would use it elsewhere.

Beverly, thanks for the mock up. I would do a smaller TV than what is shown. I think I'm going to go ahead and get the tea cart. If I find something else that works better I can always use the tea cart else where.

I vote no. Even with a smaller tv than in the mock-up, I still think that's not so much an "unexpected" combination as a completely incongruous one.
