two story addition with offset second floor?

i'm working on plans for our kitchen/entry/mudroom remodel and have made a lot of progress with my plans. but this situation has me wondering if i can make it work. the second story east wall will cut off my view of the barnyard from my masterbdrm, which is very important. the entire addition cannot be moved over the six feet because of the frontyard setbacks. however, the second story could hang over the front walkway by that six feet, leaving the view in the back.

so imagine a two story addition with the entire second floor shifted six feet to the west.

it can be done with the right supports in place, can't it? underneath that is the covered walkway and front entry, and since it has a has a roof over it already, we should be able to add the necessary support.

also i can add a long balcony on that east side since there will be six feet of kitchen underneath it.

argh, wish i could draw it for you!
