Ever tried frozen lemon and lime juice?

Two of my favorite products are the Minute Maid frozen lemon juice and frozen lime juice. You can use these both as a replacement for fresh squeezed lemon and lime juice. They are NOT the same as bottle ReaLemon or any other bottle lemon or lime juice. I know, I know, why not just squeeze real lemons or limes. I do sometimes, but other times when I'm making Sangria (my recipe calls for 1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice) or other drinks with lots of lime juice it is really a time saver. I haven't been able to find the Minute Maid frozen lime juice for quite some time and just found out it was discontinued. I used to keep several bottles of each in my freezer and thaw them for use in the fridge when needed. It was so convenient to use the frozen lime juice in place of fresh squeezed juice in so many recipes and I honestly could not tell the difference. You can still buy the frozen lemon juice next to the frozen lemonade in your grocery store, but it's disappointing to not have the frozen lime juice. It is not reconstituted but real lime juice. I'm sure you'd all love the frozen lime juice if you tried it - will you call Minute Maid to request they bring back the frozen lime juice??? I have never even tried frozen lemon or lime juice. I use tons of lemons, a squeeze of lemon is wonderful with most vegetables and many fruits and to lift sauces, etc. I also mix pitchers of tom collins which use about 6 lemons a pop.

That 800 number is for Carnation products so maybe it isn't spam.

That said, I prefer to use fresh. Many ingredients that require lemon/lime juice I like to add some fresh zest. It pumps up the depth of flavor. So yummy to make your own dressings and healthy too.

I couldn't tell if it was spam or not too so I avoided this thread.

I've never used frozen because I can't imagine it tasting as good as fresh! But if you're really wanting us to help you get your favorite product back, tell us.

I don't think it is spam. FWIW, I use the Minute Maid frozen lemon juice as well and you're right, it's much better than the regular bottled juice. I never tried the lime.

I'll give them a call for you to add another voice!

I'll definitely call Minute Maid. I think their frozen juice products are great although I haven't bought them recently so didn't realize the lime juice had been discontinued. It seems like whenever I find a product I really, really like - it gets discontinued. I think Snapple may be discontinuing their Diet Raspberry Tea and DH and I are not happy about it. If we stick together as consumers and let manufacturers know what we like, maybe they will think twice before discontinuing items.

BTW, I use ice cube trays to freeze my own lemon juice. Works great!

Thanks for solving the mystery! We've always used Minute Maid Frozen Lime juice as well as the lemon juice. I've been scouring supermarkets in my area for the lime juice and haven't been successful in finding it. I'm very sorry to hear that it's been discontinued. I will contact Minute Maid to express my disappointment.
