pgt or mi windows?

We want to put windows in the openings of our screen porch (frame), basically making the screened porch into a Florida room (we live in St. Aug, Fl). I've had two estimates. One really high, the other gave me prices on either PGT double hung or MI single hung. Any thoughts on those two brands? I'm still trying to work out whether to go double or single hung (i.e. arguing with my husband, who wants to save $900.00, yet I'm the one who cleans the windows, and I really want to open them from the top sometimes, like if it's used as a bedroom for guests.) So, still working that out. Just looking now for info abour/reviews of the brands PGT and MI. Thanks!

What Model PGT as there's is generally a decent product and I would use nothing made by MI as they are complete crap?

Why the question mark MWM, are you asking if they are crap? LOL... I would generally agree. PGT makes a nice unit, and MI is known for their builder grade offerings made for a low price point.

Don't buy MI WINDOWS you will regret it! We just spent $30k and got their 'sculpted sdl', What they advertised and what we got was completely different. Deceptive Advertising! The grid they did have on the windows was applied at the job site as they 'forgot' to add them on the order. They were applied by a random contracted company with a razor knife and to say they looked shoddy is an understatement. What's even worse is they are completely ghosting us. Customer service DOES NOT EXIST.
