Any new houses in your neighborhood being built and in the finish carpentry stage?

Look in the yellow pages and pick by length of time in business.

What do you look under in the yellow pages? Just carpenters? Or would I contact a GC and see if they have a finish carpenter?

When selecting someone make sure you get a reference, and actually contact that reference, and even try to see the work before you hire them.

There are lots of handymen-type outfits or general carpentry people that claim to be able to do finish carpentry, and many of them just aren't very good at it.
