Anchor Hocking makes oodles, and they're all fairly inexpensive and easy to find -- at Bed Bath & Beyond, The Container Store, cooking.com, etc. Even the drugstore in our small rural town in western Canada carries some.

The ones I see around most often are the Heritage Hill and Montana jars. One important thing to decide is whether they're for looks only, or whether you need a tight, secure seal, because some of the jars seal better than others...

I saw the exact same ones at Michael's craft store that were carried at C&B. I think they were $19.95 here, and with a 40% coupon that is a heck of a deal.

I don't have any, but I love the way they look, especially when filled with colorful fruit in a monochromatic kitchen (lemons, limes, etc.)

I love the Anchor Hawking Heritage Hill canisters, and all the other versions of it. But none of them come with air-tight gaskets/seals! Has anyone ever seen one that looks similar but has a seal??

I think some of the jars at Pier 1 might have seals.

thanks for this reminder of how lovely apothecary jars are. i have been wondering about which canisters to get and can not believe I did not think of this. Being an apothecarist (pharmacist) and all and loving the acoutrements of the profession
so thanks again, nw I just have to find the ones with good seals
