Disease branches of outdoor meyer lemon

Hi
I have tried to research this here and on the web and can't find an answer.
I have another post about these meyer lemon trees I acquired...they are pretty old...were incredible producers last year....and this year, in spite of fertilizing they seem to be running into problems.
When I pruned I noticed pale spots a few days ago on some of the thicker branches and the trunk...today I looked again and it's getting much worse.
Looks like some kind of fungus....or mold.
What do I do???? It seems to be progressing quickly...so please help!
I am in NE florida zone 9a
I am a total newbie to citrus as well as Florida gardening as I am from NY.
thanks in advance.
