Flat screen TV hung above linear fireplace

We recently remodeled a second home and put in a linear fireplace and hung a TV above it with a sound bar. The look we wanted was to have clean modern lines so no mantle. The heat from the fireplace is too hot for the TV so we cannot use the fireplace. What are our options to fix this? We've been told to raise it but it's already quite high on the wall and is on a tiled mount. We've also been told to make a recess in the wall for the TV or put some sort of mantle above the fireplace. Would adding some sort of frame around the fireplace help deflect the heat?
