I'm not sure what to do with this area. it is a high traffic area from the bedrooms to the kitchen. I've thought about taking the ledge out, building out more bookcases in the left side and moving TV above fireplace or even completely knocking wall down to open up family room and living room to of a more open concept room? Flooring is original commercial grade linoleum tiles that are great because they don't show the dirt but are tired, tired, tired! We will be replacing the ceiling as well.
