Depth of overhang on seating side of island?

What is the depth of the overhang on the seating side of island? Has that been enough or would you make it deeper if you were to do it over again?

We used about an 8" overhang for this particular kitchen island. With the large size of this island, any larger of an overhang would have required multiple slabs of marble. The client preferred not to have a seam, rather use one continuous slab.

What are the dimensions? We are doing an island now with 14" overhang my kitchen designer did not discuss seam issues when we pick out a slab

This slab is approx 5'x10'. Depending on the dimensions of your island and slab, you may only have to use one piece of material.
