Miele W3038 stacking

My Miele w1215 washer experienced a wash tub spider failure after about 11.5 years. I am really bummed that the replacement part is $750 because it comes with the full wash tub, spider and shaft as an assembly. Why that can't made the spider serviceable separate is very unfortunate.

At any rate, I quickly had to make a decision to buy a replacement. Since I really like Miele and there was only one version left (reasonably priced), I purchased the w3038 last night. My dilemma now is my T1405 stainless dryer, which works fine and would like to keep, doesn't match and I am not sure how it will stack with the new one. Apparently there is a universal stacking kit but can't find much information on it. Anyone have experience with this?

Also, did w3038 ever come in stainless? I don't understand why Miele would have dropped this finish.

Thanks in advance.
