The Cambria quartz has a problem with the jewel collection. All the other ones seem to be fine. We are considering it for our bar.
We do have granite in the kitchen..there is no problem with it..no chips. I think chips happen if the edge is sharp and you hit something hard on it. You also need to be a bit careful with the stone..if you spill something, it shouldn't sit there for too long because it might stain it.

Thank you. I did see the discussion on Jewel collection. I'd been admiring Cambria Berwyn but want to see a larger sample than 12x12. I read about resin pooling too. I can't afford a disaster.

I understand you perfectly. We still have some time to decide and even though I'm pretty set on Torquay, I won't say go until I know for sure. Many people have quartz and they are happy with it. I don't remember if the Berwyn is from the jewel collection.
As for slab, whoever sells it to you, tell them that you want to see a large piece. I know we won't accept the slab until we see it
