How did you treat the windows in the tub/shower area to hold up to H2O

i have a small bathroom with two windows in the shower are and have always put up an ugly curtain in front of them to try to protect from water damage. Mildly successful. Would love to get rid of the clear curtain in front of the windows though. Suggestions? Thank you.
