What type of flooring? Is is safe and durable for kitchen "wet" areas?

This is a real wood engineered flooring product made from birch with an amaretto stain that is hand scraped and finished in 9
coats of aluminum oxide. The aluminum oxide layer seals the surface of the board against water and scratches but guards against oxidization as well.
