End of the road for watermelon still on the vine in zone 4.5 ?

Wondering if there's any point at keeping watermelon in the field in MN zone 4.5 after the overnights are below 70 consistently. I have some other seedlings that could take their place if 90% + of the growth has already occurred.

I have black diamond and blacktail mountain melons of various sizes. The tendrils look dry and pretty good on most. I think we made a small error and did't set the melons back down on their yellow bottoms so the color filled in so now no yellow spot on some big mature 18 pounders.

I've only eaten a small one and the rest are being donated to a food shelf. The little one had good flavor and sweetness but was not super crisp. I don't have enough experience to tell if that's due to age or other factors.
