As you have lots of daylight - be brave and have a dark grey ! As long as your skirting and windows and ceiling are brilliant white it will look awesome !!

The thing about white is that if you are based in the UK particularly(guess?), the light can translate as a colder grey. If you go for a white, add a tint of pink or yellow just to give it a warmer hue. Having said the above, I believe dark grey framed against your green lawn will always be wonderful. It sets off the brilliance of the green and leads the eye outwards (it is its own shadow). At night there is a wonderful warmth and the room feels cosy. All the elements in the room stand out - particularly the light colours so it is a win win situation

Here are a few proposals that they may find interesting, I am not so sure how the entire room looks like but here are some ideas.

I like this gray green. And then add some oranges, corals and deeper greens. A zebra chair.

You need a neutral since you are leaning towards white, but you need a tonally interesting white - layering the tones.
