This is a gas mower not self propelled but not a push mower and this is a design dilemma page not a repair page.

Did you check the oil level? Have you changed the oil this mowing season? Put in a new spark plug and checked the air filter?

We have a Craftsman B&S that is 9 years old and sat unused for the last 2 years in storage...just had a new house built a few months ago and it started up just fine but after a month had trouble staying running. We did all of the normal maintenance on it (new spark plug, air filter, changed oil, new gas, used carburetor cleaner) and it runs like a dream again.

Thank you Lisa. Yes, checked the oil level and changed it. Along with the air filter, gas, spark plug, etc. It is funny that it runs fine for like 20 minutes before sputtering out and dying. I appreciate your help! Have a great evening. Lance
