Love it as is! I always think half the fun of these trees is seeing where they want to go...

This is why you got a weeper in the first place- to watch it develop it's own unique style and shape.

If you prune off the top of that you may as well remove it entirely and put something safe and bland in there because you will destroy it's looks ENTIRELY.

I have a 10 ft high weeping norway spruce and support it to grow straight up. I plan to cut the leader off one year and let it cascade down via several side branches. That tree I once cut the leader off when 7 ft tall, but then decided to continue to let it grow taller. So I bent up a side branch at the top, tied it to a stick of bamboo, and it continued growing straight up, making that side branch its new leader. You could do it too, after cutting off the top hanging over.

only a recent transplant will fall over ;.. because of such ...

as noted above.. you cant train it to the height you want.. but once you remove the training wheels .. its inclination will be to weep ..

so i have no idea why you would have to cut the top off.. to encourage it to weep ...

sure.. all trees might fall over.. so be it ...

but that said.. that is one supreme specimen .. go find something else to worry about ...

Cut no, but perhaps retraining it. Looks like its going towards the house and on down to a patio. But it could be years and depending what it does could be a problem or a pleasant surprise to add character along the retaining wall.
