2019 Best Faucet Value Report Uploaded

We finished the 2019 Best Faucet Value Report a month early, so we uploaded it.

The report does not attempt to identify the best faucet, an impossible task, but the faucet company that makes the best faucets for the money in several categories. It should be a valuable tool for anyone shopping for a new faucet.

This the 13th year we have published the report, and looking back at the original 2007 copy, we can hardly believe the changes in the industry. Some of the original best value companies are no longer in business and some, like Grohe, have diminished in quality to the point where the company is not ever a runner up.

Very useful, so thank you!

However, I just looked up hansgrohe and was surprised at the 3/5 on warranty because of my experience with them about 2 months ago. Yes, the warranty states that only the original owner, with proof or purchase, can make a claim. Well, I called them because my tenant discolored the chrome hole cover plate of a bathroom faucet (bought at Costco for 59.00) . I have no idea what she poured over it. Anyway, I received a new cover plate in the mail, without having to submit a proof of purchase, because I was told that this should not happen with their product.

Glad that know that I chose well, I have 3 Brizo faucets (main, prep, pot filler) in the basement waiting to be installed. I was absolutely impressed when I opened up the boxes!

Thanks for updating this list. I recently contacted Rohl to get a new cartridge for my 15-year-old Rohl bathroom sink faucet (first problem in 15 years of daily use). The phone conversation took less than 5 minutes, and I had my new cartridges - for free - within a few days. I don’t agree with you dinging Rohl for warranty score.

I tried to read the Dornbracht full review, but got a page that said “Oops, page is missing”.

Faucet company warranties detail the least a company will do to remedy a problem with a faucet. For example, Moen's warranty states that a proof of purchase is required for a warranty claim, but it 40 years we have never been asked for one.

Most reputable companies will do more. I'm glad your experience was a happy one.

I turned that Dornbraht problem over to IT. It will be fixed by the end of business today. thanks for the info.

I don't think we "dinged" Rohl. It offers the standard North American limited lifetime warranty, but the warranty document has a few technical issues. We have had a few complaints about Rohl not being responsive. But, it has recently been bought by Moen (or technically by Moen's parent company, Fortune Brands), so hopefully some of Moen's legendary customer service expertise will rub off to make Rohl even better.
