Empty space dilemma

I have an empty space between the door entrance and the dining room and don’t know what piece of furniture and what color of wood should go in there. My dining room is an oak natural wood color but everything else like the door and door frames and other couches and tables are reddish brown

I have another console table with mirror in front of the entrance which is an oxde’ Color which I feel doesn’t match with others but I need help to fill in that empty space

what should I put there?

You really don't have to put something on every wall, but my suggestion would be to move the bench from the dining table and put it in that spot, so guests have a place to take off shoes.

Art could go above. Yes change the way the mirror is hung over the console and put something taller on the top instead of "little" things. A lamp would be great, but I don't see an outlet to plug it into.

Love your console table with the mirror over it....love the carving. But could you hang your mirror the other way so that it is longer up and down instead of sideways? You could try that console in the space beside your door and put a piece of art where the console is now.

mirror and console table look great now.. yes the bench from the dining room would work and put just 4 chairs on the table - one each side.. love the color of the chair upholstery as well.. and agree that every wall does not need something.. just art is fine..

Looks so much better, thanks for updating us. I would cluster the 3 things you have on the table. Instead of having them spaced apart, cluster them all together on one side, with tallest at back coming down to smallest.
