Sometimes new growth may appear greener than usual but will change to darker green when mature. However, I see greener veins on those upper leaves, which raise the possibility of iron deficiency. Iron deficiency is not uncommon in alkaline clay soil.

There are many iron formulation on the market, but for alkaline soil you need one that is chelated and readily soluble. There are also other liquid iron sold on Amazon also. Otherwise i think your teasing georgia looks healthy.

Thanks! That’s what I suspected. I have some chelated iron, but I didn’t want to apply it unless I got confirmation that that was what was needed.

I've also had this happen on some of my roses numerous times over the years in my alkaline soil and have never done a thing about it. Somehow it resolves itself every time without my intervention, which is a darn good thing. It may be more of a problem in clay soil; mine is decomposed granite.
