Design Dilemma Dining Room

rug(s) for this challenging dining area space

Apartment's foyer opens into half of large room which is to be used for dining (see floor plan and photos): Ideas are to have 'nook' with small 36" round glass top table & 2 chairs and larger 60" rectangular glass table mostly resting against mirrored wall between bookcases. NEED carpet but what size? Use more than one carpet? Odd corner near kitchen counter demands a cut into one end of carpet. Advice?

No rug

Those etageres in front of the mirror is not a good look. It doubles the amount of stuff on the shelves.

Don’t block the natural traffic pattern from the front door toward the kitchen, which the route the resident will use every day.
I hate having a powder room adjacent to the dining area.
Does it have an exhaust fan?
I would suggest having the dining table to the right side of the greatroom when entering from the foyer. A round 36” table with four chairs could fit into that area and not block traffic.
