Sunny days do help me be more productive - unfortunately, I spent a good share of the day working outside, not sewing!! Builder Bob finished our deck on Wednesday, and now I have to paint the 6 - 8 foot posts. I got the first primer coat on and then the rain came ... ugh. I did get our picnic table and chairs all painted. I am also trying to get caught up with gardening, but our mosquito spray guys didn't do a great job, so they are coming back Tuesday. Too many in my flower beds to get much done!

No quilting, but I am making a couple costumes for our Lions Club "dress your ethnic heritage" day next Thursday. Making modified Lederhosen for DH (German on his mom's side). Found suspenders at Goodwill and adding ribbon and a breast plate. He has shorts he can wear. I found a flowered skirt at Goodwill and bought tablecloth lace to make an apron. Will make a vest with ribbons and flower headband for my Polish background. I don't want to put too much into it, but should be fun.

You are so good about getting so many projects done, Linda! I am always impressed!

No quilting, but I did get out and weed both days while sitting in a lawn chair. Since I haven't touched the gardens since surgery on June 4th, you can imagine the weeds with all the rain we've had. I'm so glad we've cut back on the gardens the last two years.

Gathered my thoughts and made a few blocks over the week-end. DH's 84th birthday was Saturday and DD took us to BubbaQue's for dinner. We've been there twice in the last month. Good stuff!
