Dwarf Orange Stunted growth

Two stories.

First, the dwarf orange with much prompting still has two oranges on it.

The tree is green, but does not grow. Gave food, and attention.

It flowers, and then the small buds of fruit fail to hold and the stem dies back. After planting some iris near it, I think I hit the root of the fruit, which if right, means the root has right angled into the wall and is reached a dead end there. After molesting that root, there was some growth and a new blossom has appeared. This diagnosis of root compaction holds for me because of this burst.

Anyone able to support my weirdo notion?

Second, the Lime tree was assessed on this board, and it lives next to orange. It is currently going crazy with growth, fruit, and new flowers. Was as dormant as the Orange before your guys' help.

first shot is orange with bloom on center

second shot is of the lime that is now so happy
