How far back must a second garage be placed so it appears set back? Our second garage was supposed to be set back 2 feet but for various reasons it may only be able to be set back 8 inches...We have the choice to do either of these options. Setting it back 2 feet would give the separate look we are looking for while setting in back 8 inches gives us more room but I’m nervous it will appear to be flush since it’s only 8 inches back....Does anyone have a second garage set back only 8 inches? I am told it is the roof line and not the distance that will make the garage appear set back? Appreciate your thoughts!
