We are putting in a wine fridge in corner of our dining room. We plan to have a cabinet next to it and then put a counter on top. Above the fridge we plan to have built in shelves and cabinets. The shelving unit will sit on top of the counter space and the cabinets will start approximately 36 inches above the counter. My question is, how far back should the cabinets sit back from the edge of the counter? Our home is very modern and this is literally our only storage, so we want to make the cabinets as deep as possible, but we also don't want it to look strange aesthetically. Is a 2 inch setback enough?
