What a view! The furniture needs to be oriented to take in that view!

You didn't give us a very good picture to work from. Maybe you could stand in the hallway and take the picture again so we know where the bar begins.

Something is not correct about your floor plan.

The house is new to me :) it is an older house. We plan to do a few minor renovations eventually. For the summer though we plan to use it as is. Attached is a picture that shows a little more of the room, the step up is no longer there, the floor is all one level now. There are measurements on the layout I posted, if you zoom in you should be able to see them.

The plan makes it difficult to tell what is wall and what is window. And that jog in the plan doesn't show up in the photos. But regardless, everything should absolutely be oriented to the view, including the dining room table. The best place for the tv is on the side wall close to the sliders.
