You have to be very, very careful. Most furniture is manufactured overseas.

Even companies that say their stuff is manufactured in the USA could use products from overseas. Even some of the big names have sold out and now manufacture overseas. Baker furniture is now owned by a chinese corporation. Baker! They were the benchmark for number one quality. I don't know now but i'd be concerned.

It's truly a horrifying experience to buy new furniture.

I haven't bought new furniture in maybe 15 years. I ordered a piece from a manufacturer that i have older pieces from, only to find the new ones were made in a foreign country. The smell is killing me. It smells like poison.
