Brought Calamondin inside for fall/winter and major leaf drop

I just brought my 30 plus year old Calamondin in for the fall/winter in upstate NY (this was my grandmother's plant and this is my first winter with her, she got so many flowers and leaves outside this summer) about two weeks ago and this week the tree began to shed some leaves. They curl and then drop off, I believe they are some of the older leaves. The tree is in a big a south facing window, the temperature has been in 70s during day but closer to 50 at night. I put a humidifier near by and her soil is slightly moist as I watered 2 days ago when it seems very dry. I hosed her off before I brought her in which is why I waited to water. Any guidance, maybe this is normal after changing her environment..
