Hi! Just bought a house- it’s reverse living with kitchen and main living area on the main floor and then you walk downstairs to bedrooms and family room. The upstairs main floor that you enter on has beautiful dark wood floors. the downstairs has old carpeting that needs to be replaced. Since it’s right on the slab and will be pretty high traffic with kids and pets we’re thinking of installing Coretec or another LVP. I personally prefer lighter flooring, but because the stairs leading down are dark and it’s a main living area and not a finished basement , should I make it match Instead? The downstairs also Doesn’t get as much natural light as the upstairs. I’m so torn, and advice or opinions welcome!
