IMO all hood fans are noisy so get the one that is the best for price if all else is equal . Turn it on before you start cooking and turn it off when you are done like it always should be .I have always used a hood with an inline blower no matter how short the distance. I use Vent-a-hood often they are my go to most of the time they work well and look pretty good. I assume you have a 30" gas range so what BTUs are in the range that you need a 1200CFM hood.

Thanks for your feedback, Patricia. I understand that they will be noisy but I’m trying to get the one that is the quietest. I’m not sure how reliable the information about the noise level is that the manufacturer publishes and I am hoping that someone who has one of these hood fans can give feedback how loud they really are… I can’t find much details about the Sirius range hood. Out of the 3, it is the cheapest one, but also the noisiest with 66 dbA = 14 sones… 14 sones sounds extremely high/loud though…
We are having a 36” electric cooktop and we don’t like the look of a 42” range hood as our kitchen is not that big and I don’t want that huge range hood to be the Center of attention of the entire kitchen. We do a lot of wok stir frying as well as air frying, hence want a hood that is at least 900 CFM and have narrowed it down to these 3 hoods.

did you decide what to go with?!

We bought the Zephyr Tempest 2 with the 1200 CFM internal blower. Got some feedback from people who bought the same hood and seem happy with it. Have yet to receive it as delivery time is long…
